As of the current ICC Bangladesh men page, Bangladesh sit ninth in Tests, ODIs and T20Is, with ratings of 63, 79 and 223 respectively. The symmetry is striking, but it can also be misleading. A team can occupy the same line in three tables and still tell three different stories.

ODIsNo. 9 · Rating 79
T20IsNo. 9 · Rating 223

Why the symmetry is deceptive

In Tests, Bangladesh still carry the afterglow of that Pakistan series. In ODIs, the picture feels more transitional, with leadership and combinations still moving. In T20Is, the number suggests a side that can compete, but not yet dictate.

A quick read, format by format

Test cricket

The ranking is modest, but the ceiling feels less static than it once did.

ODI cricket

This looks like a format in transition rather than a settled pecking order.

T20I cricket

The rating says Bangladesh are in the conversation, though not yet shaping it.

Viewpoint

What I take from the three No. 9 positions is not uniform decline, but a lack of separation. Bangladesh have enough quality to avoid irrelevance in every format; the harder task is building one format strong enough to pull clear of the rest.
